My First Christmas

Isn’t this beautiful?  This is the Christmas Tree at my Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  And look at all those presents underneath the tree!  Unfortunately, I was told that most of those presents are for Addison.  Although I was given reassurance that once I am old enough to unwrap my presents, I will get equally as many, if not more.  Hopefully so!

Since this is really my first Christmas, I really don’t have a clue how the family used to celebrate Christmas in the past.  Although I can reference Addison’s web-site to find out, but it will only raise my blood pressure if I find out that he got more presents on his first Christmas than I do.  So let’s not focus on my brother!

I was told that this Christmas, we’ll be spending a week at Grandma’s and Grandpa’s house.  Not only because Grandma wants us to be there, it’s also because Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Chris will be flying in from Hong Kong to celebrate Christmas with us.  And yes, although I’ve seen Aunt Phoebe and Uncle Chris a few times over webcam, this will be my first time meeting them in person.  Not only am I excited, I’m also looking forward to all the presents that they will shower me with!

So how many presents did I get?  I’ll let you find out for yourself!

If you didn’t see any picture of me opening presents, you didn’t missed it!  Yup!  Those were all the pictures taken from the entire week of my first Christmas, all the way up to New Year’s Day!  What happened?  Because, once again, all the attentions were focused on my brother.  What I can show you is this short video of Aunt Phoebe holding me in her arms.  I could feel that she knew exactly how I was feeling… when one didn’t get to open any Christmas present.

In fact, it wasn’t until after the new year, I had the opportunity to be on camera to (let Grandma and Addison) unwrap a few of my presents.

Here’s one more example:

Here’s another example:

Another one:

And this one, my brother just simply took it, and played with it.

As you can see, it wasn’t really much fun when one couldn’t talk, tear, unwrap, and punch.  I am just so looking forward to my next Christmas.  Until then, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!
